MoC has higher bitrate than Kino Lorber, also the contrast is increased. But there is no noticeable reduction in visible film damage presented between the two offerings.

Criterion Blu-ray

2019 Potemkine France Blu-ray less processing than Criterion. Need to adjust luminence from 16-235 (limited) to 0-255 (full) to fix crushed blacks

BFI Blu-ray

BFI Blu-ray is the only one with English subtitles, while France Potemkine and Japan IVC don't.

BFI is a 4K scan and BR review is the only one I can find and it has good ratings.

There are no comparison or other caps available.

BFI Blu-ray is original mono, the other releases are unknown

Criterion Blu-ray is 4k transfer, not sure Potemkine or Spain import

Given that it's a Janus theatrical release, an English-friendly and Criterion release can be expected in the near future.

Germany Filmjuwelen Blu-ray

Germany Filmjuwelen is the best of the ones with the new restoration. Criterion/Artificial Eye are older restoration.

Potemkine/Lumière/Filmjuwelen all probably the same and best.

France Potemkine Blu-ray

France Potemkine Blu-ray is new 4K master

Netherlands Lumière Blu-ray is best, but all releases of the 2K restoration have issues:

• Criterion Blu-ray/Germany Filmjuwelen Blu-ray have yellow tint on sepia scenes

• France Potemkine (Standalone) has raised blacks and poor encoding

• France Potemkine (Boxset) has orange tint on sepia scenes and poor encoding

• Netherlands Lumière has correct sepia scenes, good encode, but gamma is slightly off.

• Italy General Video Recording has correct sepia scenes but gamma is off (more so than Netherlands Blu-ray and worse encode)
