Real-estate developer Charles S. Cohen founded this New York distributor in 2008 to release foreign-language and art-house films in North America. In 2011 it bought Raymond Rohauer's library, now the Cohen Film Collection, and has since restored and issued Buster Keaton, D. W. Griffith and Merchant Ivory titles on Region A Blu-ray. It owned the UK's Curzon from 2019 until Fortress Investment Group took it over in 2024.
