Potemkine opened as a DVD shop on rue Beaurepaire in Paris in 2006, began publishing discs in 2007 and has distributed films in French cinemas since 2013. Many editions are co-published with agnès b. Its French Blu-ray catalogue leans on director box sets and restorations: Rohmer, Herzog, Kiarostami, Lars von Trier, Godard and Soviet classics such as The Cranes Are Flying.

The movie was shot in HD and  France Potemkine Blu-ray (needs gamma correction) has slightly stronger encoding than Italy Eagle Pictures 4K Blu-ray. Curzon Blu-ray is the worst of all three (not by much) see caps.
