Best Video:

Kino Lorber US Blu-ray - Brit Noir: Collection I set

Best Audio:

Network UK PAL DVD

Audio Notes:

Both DVD and BD use the same transfer. Blu-ray is more cleaned up (hiss, clicks, pops) but loses detail in quiet moments due to noise gating and sounds less natural throughout.

Best Video:

Italy Minerva DVD

Sources: DVDBeaver (opens in a new tab)

Upcoming Release:

RaroVideo Blu-ray Dec 15th

Video Notes:

Even though there is a RaroVideo Blu-ray, it has aggressive DNR and bad encoding so Minerva DVD is still visibly superior, see DVDBeaver caps.

While Minerva DVD has contrast boosting and black crush, it's still much superior to UK Optimum DVD.

Director: George C. Stoney

Also available on Library of Congress SD Streaming https://www.loc.gov/item/2017604960/ but the Flicker Alley DVD is probably much superior

Kadokawa JP Blu-ray has incorrect levels and looks slightly washed out. Criterion has slightly worse encoding, but both are solid in that regard.
