Since posting this, I watched the Capelight in full and the anomalies the caps reveal didn’t bother me in motion. I did look out for issues and can’t really complain. The trickiest scenes are those set in daylight, particularly in the third act, and the Criterion looks terrible here. Unfortunately the caps are just from the first hour but in doing comparisons with the discs, I noticed that Capelight managed to resolve detail more evenly and makes for a more satisfying experience in my mind.

Criterion US 4K Blu-ray > Alamode Germany. HDR10 grade on the Germany disc was not approved by the filmmakers, Criterion's SDR only master is the most faithful representation and the Germany disc is not English-friendly

France The Jokers 4K Blu-ray has the least DNR (UK Artificial Eye might be similar? Both better than Universal 4K Blu-ray)

Criterion even though doesn’t have 4K, it has the B&W version and a lot of extras.

Even though no screencap comparisons, given that Criterion is a 2K scan of Original Camera Negative, and supervised by Ken Loach, Criterion is likely the best.

No comparisons but StudioCanal UK Blu-ray has burned in subtitles, so likely Criterion Blu-ray is better

Criterion Blu-ray > Artificial Eye Blu-ray, Korea Nova Media 4K Blu-ray release is AI upscaled

Sony > Artificial Eye

No comparisons but Artificial Eye doesn't look like a new transfer, so likely Sony is better. Because this is shot on HD digital and transferred to 35mm, not expecting any improvement in the future either.
