Leading role · Director: Joseph Sargent
Arrow 4K Blu-ray/Blu-ray is a port of 2000 MGM DVD and superior to Kino Lorber. LaserDisc likely minimally better.
Leading role · Director: Elaine May
Cinématographe 4K Blu-ray > MoC > Olive Films. From nicolas:
The master is good but it’s not that big an upgrade from the Olive Films disc and Vinegar Syndrome’ encode has some blocky highlights. A shame that they didn’t hire David Mackenzie here.
Cinématographe has unnecessary noise gating not present on the previous releases.

For older Blu-ray: Criterion Blu-ray > Universal Blu-ray with slightly worse encoding > Japan Paramount or UK Park Circus Blu-ray with significantly flatter contrast (possibly Quicktime Gamma Bug?) see caps
Small role · Director: Oliver Stone
Theatrical Cut 4K Blu-ray in August
Director's Cut: Shout! Factory 4K Blu-ray
Theatrical Cut: Shout! Factory Blu-ray (included with collector's edition)
Theatrical Cut: The Shout UHD DTS-HD 2.0
Theatrical Cut: The Shout UHD DTS-HD 2.0 seems to be the same mix overall as the 1992 laserdisc PCM 2.0 but its not a straight port. Even though there are some minor differences, it does not seem to be a downmix of the 5.1. It could possibly be a new mastering. It has just a tiny bit more dynamic range than the laserdisc, but the laserdisc has a bit more presence in the lower and midrange frequencies.

Spanish Region 0 PAL DVD or original VHS and Beta MGM releases
There is very low quality streaming on Roku
This film is cursed with only an early 80's tape master in 4:3 and a letterbox standard def master that was apparently made and abandoned without even a Laserdisc or DVD release. The only passable widescreen version is the Spanish PAL DVD which is low quality and noisy using this abandoned standard def master but sped up due to PAL. It uses the title Aqui, un Amigo. This film cries out for a proper transfer to happen at least once.
