Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, based in Culver City, handles disc releases for Columbia, TriStar, Screen Gems and Sony Pictures Classics. Its asset management team, long led by Grover Crisp, restores the Columbia library in-house from 4K and 8K negative scans, and the Columbia Classics 4K Ultra HD box sets collect many of those restorations. Since 2024 it also manufactures and distributes Disney's discs in North America.

Still, the early 2000s nature of the film is palpable and more noticeable, f.ex. in the opening scene that looks upscaled but seemingly without AI usage or any egregious tools. No info yet about what Fincher actually changed and where he tinkered around. Also see samlop10's review
