Fernsehjuwelen GmbH in Walluf, Germany, runs Filmjuwelen as its film label, with Alive AG handling distribution and sister lines such as Fernsehjuwelen for TV series and DEFA Filmjuwelen. It reissues German, Austrian and international classics on DVD, Blu-ray and a few 4K UHDs. Several of its Blu-rays reuse older masters or are upscales, so picture quality varies from title to title.
