A unit of the UCLA Library in Los Angeles, the archive holds some 159,000 films and 132,000 television programmes and has run a restoration programme since the late 1970s. Its restorations reach disc through labels such as Criterion, Milestone and the NFPF's Treasures sets, while other films and shorts stream in HD on its YouTube channel and Virtual Screening Room.
