Former Rhino Records executives started this Los Angeles company in 2002, and it has traded as Shout! Studios since 2023. Its disc imprints are Scream Factory (horror, since 2012) and Shout Select, which put out new 2K and 4K scans with commissioned extras, plus TV box sets and the North American discs for GKIDS and Studio Ghibli. The online store moved to Universal's GRUV.com in November 2025.

Best Video:
Eclair new 4k resto,
StudioCanal UK lower bitrate and yellow tint,
Kino Lorber did color correction on top of that, but maybe the old Shout! Factory/MoC 2k transfer with better color but worse details is better overall

Best Video:
4K Blu-ray: DNR is strong in places; editing error introduced where the prologue no longer fades to white; HDR is messed up.
BDs: 2021 Paramount Blu-ray has better encode than Shout! Factory but is 1.78:1 instead of 1.85:1 and doesn't have the mono track

Audio Notes:
5.1 track for The Wrong Trousers is in its correct pitch both in music and voices https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p=21535755&postcount=103
Unaltered track with the original music cues is on the LaserDisc.
Video Notes:
The BBC 4K collection and Shout! Factory 4K collection all use the same source, and are all unfortunately using AI upscaling and DNR'ed They are worse than the blurays and the 2023 US Shout! Factory collections are even prone to disc-rot.
2009 Lionsgate US (also prone to disc-rot) or UK 2 Entertain OOP Blu-ray will be the way to go.
The 4K collection's Blu-ray seems to be a reprint of previous releases.
