Both DVD and BD use the same transfer. Blu-ray is more cleaned up (hiss, clicks, pops) but loses detail in quiet moments due to noise gating and sounds less natural throughout.

2013 Kino Lorber Blu-ray is better than the Kino Lorber 2019 Remastered Blu-ray which supposed used a "newer" 2K restoration

From caps while 2013 Blu-ray is more sharpened, more details are indeed kept in the older Blu-ray than the newer one.

Kino Lorber 4K Blu-ray has unusually strong encode but only a minimal upgrade over the excellent Eureka Blu-ray

Kino Lorber 4K Blu-ray is a fine release with no glaring encode issues, the new master is also fine but graded to look quite dim in HDR/DV. Unsure whether that's really respectful to the source

Kino Lorber 4K Blu-ray / Paramount EU Blu-ray

Old Warner Bros US release is inferior.

• Kino Lorber 4K Blu-ray has frozen grain, sharpening, lots of debris, and handles lesser materials. The supposed non-Superscope version is false advertising. It merely reveals more picture information. 

• Criterion CAV LaserDisc is the most consistent due to a lack of image processing.

Criterion LaserDisc has exclusive commentary. Olive Films Signature Blu-ray and BFI Blu-ray each have exclusive extras. Kino Lorber 4K Blu-ray has exclusive commentary.
