Serge Bromberg founded Lobster Films in Paris in 1985 to collect and restore early and silent cinema, from Méliès and Lumière to Chaplin and Keaton, including the recovered colour version of A Trip to the Moon. Its restorations reached disc on its own French Blu-rays and through partner labels such as Flicker Alley. The company was liquidated in July 2023, and former staff carry on the collection as FPA France.
