Film historian Phil Hopkins, who earlier founded The Film Detective, launched Film Masters in 2023 to restore and release neglected American films, many in the public domain. Most titles come from new 2K or 4K scans of 35mm elements and ship as region-free Blu-rays with commentaries and short documentaries. The label also runs a YouTube channel and streams part of its catalogue.

Best Video:
Film Masters has 2025 new 2K restoration in Blu-ray, but seems to be mostly the same PQ wise to the 2016 The Film Detectives OOP Blu-ray https://slow.pics/c/pt6Z651b The 2016 Blu-ray might be even a bit smoother also it's negligent.

Film Masters restoration is available in full in youtube but it's significantly worse with the youtube compression.

UK BFI Pioneers of African American Cinema boxet Blu-ray or US individual Film Masters Blu-ray no comparison available
Specifically the BFI boxset is better than the Kino Lorber boxset as you can clearly see the DNR in Kino Lorber http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film5/blu-ray_reviews_73/pioneers_of_african-american_cinema_blu-ray.htm
