Archivist Phil Hopkins started The Film Detective in Rockport, Massachusetts, in 2013, and Cinedigm (now Cineverse) bought it in 2020. It restores classic films, including 1930s horror, noir, silents, B-westerns and 1950s sci-fi, some from new 4K scans. The restorations go to its streaming channel and to limited special-edition Blu-rays with commentaries and featurettes.

Film Masters has 2025 new 2K restoration in Blu-ray, but seems to be mostly the same PQ wise to the 2016 The Film Detectives OOP Blu-ray https://slow.pics/c/pt6Z651b The 2016 Blu-ray might be even a bit smoother also it's negligent.
