Supporting role · Director: Andrew Stanton
Criterion 4K Blu-ray > Disney 4K Blu-ray: HDR10 same as the Disney disc, but Criterion's new Dolby Vision layer improves presentation in some aspects, and has very good extras
Original DTS-ES 6.1 mix: Both are equal. ES rear centre channel maintained on both releases, but is unflagged on the Criterion 4K Blu-ray.
Dolby Atmos remix: Criterion 4K Blu-ray > Disney 4K Blu-ray.
Supporting role · Director: Lee Unkrich
2010 Disney Blu-ray for the original 7.1 mix
The UK version has different voice actors for one of the three army men and all three of the Peas-in-a-pod.
The South African version has Jeremy Mansfield (a famous radio personality) as the voice of Chatter Phone.
Supporting role · Director: John Lasseter
The international version replaces the American flag in Buzz’s speech with a spinning CGI globe and the American Anthem is replaced with an exclusive piece by Randy Newman titled the ‘One World Anthem’. Bizarrely the 2005 UK DVD retains the US anthem while having the CGI globe.
The original November 1999 end credits start a second earlier on the theatrical versions (found on bootleg telesyncs) rather than the 2001 or 2005 DVDs.
Small role · Director: Brad Bird
Disney 4K Blu-ray has the original DTS-ES 6.1 mix in DTS-HD MA 6.1. Inferior Dolby Atmos remix is set to default.
Small role · Director: Irvin Kershner
OG: "4K80" or "D+80" on the high seas. If not, Disney 4K Blu-ray
Special Edition: "4K97_V" or "D+97_V" on high seas.
2027 Original Trilogy restoration/50th anniversary rerelease clips leaked plus release confirmed
OG: "4K80" or "D+80" on the high seas
Special Edition: "4K97_V" or "D_97_VI" on the high seas.
If not, the 4K Blu-rays are generally considered an improvement over the 2011 Blu-rays. (although both restorations are DNR'ed and have issues).
OG: LaserDisc audio is the best option for the Dolby Stereo mixes. 70mm six-track mix is included in 4K80 (taken from an actual 70mm print). There are 16mm rips of the mono mix.
Special Edition: Cinema DTS or 1997 LaserDisc for the Special Edition.
Small role · Director: Richard Donner
Theatrical: WB 4K Blu-ray (2025 re-release)

Theatrical: WB 4K Blu-ray (2025 re-release fixed a glitch in the previous discs)
Expanded and TV cuts: 2017 Warner Bros Blu-ray
(2025 re-release includes lossless 5.1 and better 2.0 compared to previous editions)
The 70mm mix in 5.1 was lossy on the 4K 2018 pressing, missing from the 2023 pressing for some reason, and then put back on the 2025 pressing in lossless.
Small role · Director: Richard Attenborough
