Starz launched in February 1994 as a US premium cable channel and has run a standalone streaming app since 2016. From 2006 its parent owned Anchor Bay Entertainment, so many late-2000s and early-2010s US Blu-rays carry a joint Starz / Anchor Bay banner. Lionsgate bought Starz in 2016, and the network now operates separately as Starz Entertainment. Here it mostly appears as an HD streaming source.
