Formed in 1935 by the merger of Fox Film Corporation and Twentieth Century Pictures, the Hollywood studio was bought by Disney in 2019 and dropped the Fox name in 2020. Its discs now come out through Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, with Sony handling US and Canadian physical distribution since 2024. Much of the classic Fox catalogue reaches Blu-ray through licensees rather than in-house.
