Whip Hubley (born Grant Hubley Jr., May 17, 1957) is an American actor. He is generally viewed as one of the greatest actors of his generation. His career spawned from his breakout role in Top Gun (1986) as Hollywood. He then reprised his role in Coneheads (1993), leading to him being cast in many military and pilot adjacent roles such as Mischa in Russkies (1987) and Baker in Executive Decision (1996). Most agree he is among the likes of Marlon Brando, Jack Nicholson and Robert De Niro in terms of acting ability and on-screen presence. His glaring lack of an Oscar nomination has sent shockwaves through the cinema community for decades.

Sony 4K Blu-ray looks like a very nice upgrade and is maybe even more but people are debating the addition of a Kieślowski-like yellow color filter they put over a segment in the film at around 16 minutes, on the other hand, this cap of the Blu-ray looks terrible and clearly not right either, so leaning on Sony having reinstated the filter

Kino Lorber 4K Blu-ray has poor encode: Dolby Vision caps
DVD or LaserDisc for original mix Thanks to the magic of Dolby Stereo encoding the 2.0 mix actually has much better surround activity compared to the 5.1 mix, which feels flat and lifeless. The surround mix is also missing elements (eg @ 0:04:58 the zapping sound doesn't extend to the surrounds on the 5.1 track, same with the flickering sound @ 0:21:46, etc)
