The Hadida family founded Metropolitan Filmexport in Paris in 1978 to bring American independent and genre films to France. It was New Line's main French distributor until 2009 and now handles titles from Lionsgate, A24, STX and Amblin, releasing them in cinemas and on French DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD as Metropolitan Film & Vidéo. HK Vidéo, a sub-label, covers Asian cinema.
